Yes — Chile has a Free Trade Agreement with China signed 2006, expanded 2019. Solar panels typically enter Chile at 0% tariff under FTA (vs 6% MFN rate). IVA (VAT) is 19% on CIF value. This makes Chinese solar imports very cost-competitive vs other origins. Your customs broker handles Certificate of Origin for FTA benefits.

Atacama has world's highest sustained DNI (2,800+ kWh/m²/yr) but also high module temps (cell temps 65-75°C under full sun). HJT temperature coefficient -0.24%/°C vs TOPCon's -0.29%/°C = 2-4% more annual yield in Atacama conditions. Over 25 years, this translates to millions of extra kWh for utility-scale projects. For Atacama and Tarapacá ground-mount, HJT 730W is near-universally the best TCO.

Shanghai → San Antonio/Valparaíso: 38-44 days via Panama Canal or direct South Pacific route. Antofagasta/Iquique (Northern Chile): 40-46 days. Add 5-7 days factory production if no stock. Total: ~7 weeks from order to Chilean port. This is slower than other LatAm destinations (Callao, Manzanillo) due to distance.

Yes for both. For PMGD (Pequeños Medios de Generación Distribuida, up to 9MW): JUSTSOLAR qualifies directly, well-suited for 1-5 MW projects. For utility-scale (50+ MW) bankable PPAs, we can co-supply with Tier-1 bankability partner if required. For commercial rooftop and Net Billing residential: fully supported.

Chile is generally low-risk in LatAm for exporters. Established Chilean clients: 30% deposit + 70% against B/L copy possible. New clients: 30% + 70% before shipment.
