Challenge

Client needed highest possible energy yield per hectare on a greenfield site with soft agricultural soil. Required modules that handle humid summers (95% relative humidity) and cold winters (-15°C). Budget constraints required competitive $/W but with premium performance.

Solution

Supplied 5,834 JUSTSOLAR TOPCon 600W bifacial modules on single-axis trackers. Dual-glass construction ideal for humid climate (no backsheet degradation). 80% bifaciality captures reflected ground irradiance. TOPCon N-type cell technology delivers low LID and 25-year linear warranty. We provided PVsyst simulation, string sizing, and commissioning support.

Results

First-year generation exceeded simulation by 3.2% due to bifacial gain on light-colored gravel surface. PR (Performance Ratio) consistently above 82% in first 18 months. Zero module failures or warranty claims. Monitoring data available for site reference visits.

Challenge

Client wanted EU-manufactured modules to meet sustainability reporting requirements and potentially qualify for future CBAM exemptions. Needed fast installation to take advantage of Macedonia's FIT expiring end of year. Large flat roof with some HVAC shading zones.

Solution

Supplied modules from JUSTSOLAR's own Macedonia factory — proof of local manufacturing for EU compliance purposes. TOPCon 640W G12 wafer provided best W/m² density for maximizing constrained roof area. Installation completed in 6 weeks from order, including custom aluminum racking for flat roof.

Results

Qualified for Macedonia's 25-year FIT program. Generating electricity at 8-10% below grid rate — saving $180,000/year. Customer became JUSTSOLAR reference site for EU market — hosting prospective buyers from Germany, Austria, Greece.

Challenge

Remote island resort running entirely on diesel generators at $0.35/kWh. Salt-mist exposure causing corrosion on previous solar installations. Limited installation space (island is <1 hectare). Resort needed 24/7 reliability for guest experience. Battery had to meet international fire safety codes for tourist areas.

Solution

Complete turnkey system: corrosion-resistant dual-glass modules with anodized aluminum frames, 12 LiFePO4 battery modules with integrated fire suppression, hybrid inverters with automatic diesel/battery/solar management. Modules mounted on marine-grade aluminum structures. Commissioned in 8 weeks including ocean freight and offshore logistics.

Results

Reduced diesel consumption by 87% in first year. Fuel savings alone paid for the system in 3.1 years. Zero downtime during commissioning monsoon season. Salt-mist corrosion testing after 24 months shows no degradation. Resort featured project in their sustainability marketing.

Challenge

Water treatment reservoir (unused for ~2 years awaiting infrastructure upgrade). Municipality wanted productive use of underutilized land/water. Needed floating structure stable enough for 25-year lifetime. Panels had to avoid algal growth and water quality impact.

Solution

HDPE pontoon-based floating structure with JUSTSOLAR TOPCon 640W bifacial modules. 10° tilt optimized for local latitude. Panels provide shade reducing algae growth (15% reduction in evaporation, 20% reduction in algal bloom risk). Submarine cable to shore inverter station. Modular construction allows future capacity expansion.

Results

Energy output 3.5% higher than projected due to water cooling effect (modules operating 4°C cooler than ground-mount equivalent). Reservoir evaporation reduced by 18%. Project won regional 'Dual Benefit Solar' award. Now used as reference site for FPV development in China.

Dual-use requirement: generate electricity for irrigation pumps + cold storage AND grow chilies and turmeric under panels. Elevated structure needed to allow tractor access. Regulatory uncertainty around FIT vs net metering. Water scarcity required reduced evaporation from soil.

Solution

Custom 3.5m elevated mounting system allowing full tractor access beneath panels. TOPCon 640W chosen for large format (fewer mounting points) and 80% bifaciality. Crop selection: chilies (30% shade tolerant), turmeric (50% shade tolerant), ginger (40% shade tolerant). Drip irrigation integrated with mounting posts. Cold storage powered directly by solar during day.

Results

Solar generation: 1,200 MWh/year (100% of projection). Crop yield: 15% higher than full-sun equivalent due to reduced heat stress on peppers. Water usage: 25% lower due to reduced evaporation. Dual revenue stream: electricity $96k/year + crops $42k/year. Total land productivity increased 180% vs conventional farming.
